As the One Body of Christ, Holy Family Parish strives to live authentically the Gospel of Jesus Christ: through reflection on the Word, nourished by the Sacraments, in solidarity with our Church Shepherds and upholding and honouring the dignity and integrity of all of God’s creation.

Pastoral Care of the Homebound

Members of Holy Family visit the home bound who are elderly or ill each week. They bring them Jesus in Holy Communion and in the presence of a caring member of the Body of Christ. The parishioners of Holy Family have a deep and compassionate appreciation of the privileges of ministry to the homebound. In taking Holy Communion to the elderly who are living in personal care homes or living in their own homes, our extra-ordinary ministers of communion have come to appreciate the gifts of prayer and resiliency and faith in those they visit. It has renewed their faith in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Sessions in Pastoral Care are held periodically through out the year whenever there are a few individuals who would like to participate in this ministry.
