As the One Body of Christ, Holy Family Parish strives to live authentically the Gospel of Jesus Christ: through reflection on the Word, nourished by the Sacraments, in solidarity with our Church Shepherds and upholding and honouring the dignity and integrity of all of God’s creation.

The Staff

Fr. David TumbackRev. Fr. David Tumback
Pastor

Fr. David is our beloved Pastor. Fr. David was born and raised Eston, SK. He attended university in Saskatoon and Toronto before he was ordained in 1995. Fr. David loves food and any Italian or French wine beginning with the letter "B"! He is hopelessly addicted to Hell's Kitchen, Master Chef, Pawn Stars and Judge Judy His favourite place in the world is LA/Disneyland. His favourite celebrity is Colby Armstrong (although he detests the Leafs). The person he wants to meet most (other than Jesus) is Judge Judy. His favourite TV show of all time is, “Are You Being Served?” and his idea of a perfect evening is when the doorbell doesn’t ring!

Deacon Bob WillistonRev. Mr. Bob Williston

Deacon Bob joined our parish team two years ago. Bob spent 33 years with the Redemptorist Mission Team conducting parish retreats and missions. Bob has written and recorded many records, tapes and CDs of his own music (available to purchase at the parish office!). Bob is married to Joan (34 yrs) and are the proud parents of three adult children, Marina, Daniel and Bobby.

Bob has a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy and a Masters of Divinity degree from Newman Theological College in Edmonton. Bob’s favourite hobby is his granddaughter Sadie who lives with her mom and dad in Lethbridge, Alberta. His second most favourite hobby is to tease Father David!

Pat ClarkePatrick Clarke
Executive Assistant to the Pastor

Pat Clarke and his family joined Holy Family Parish in July of 2011 as our Executive Assistant to the Pastor. Pat came to us after serving St. Philip Neri parish for the past 12 ½ years. He served SPN as a youth minister, pastoral associate and as a parish life director.

Pat is married to Tanya. They have two children, Ava (Gr. 1) and Lachlan (3 yrs.).

Pat enjoys spending time with his family, reading, working out, scotch (single malt neat), photography, all things U2, football (GO RIDERS!) and especially having in-house Sunday evening date nights with his wife eating take-out, drinking wine and watching Desperate Housewives (his one and only vice!)

Garth HornGarth Horn
Pastoral Associate/Sacristan

Garth and his wife Jane have been members of Holy Family Parish for four years. Before working for Holy Family, Garth worked a Queen's House of Retreats (10 yrs), before that he was with the Redemptorist Mission Team as a Lay Missionary (9 yrs). Garth enjoys biking, tennis, cross country skiing and the great outdoors.

Andy KorvemakerAndy Korvemaker

Prior to that Andy was the Pastoral Assistant at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Edmonton, AB (one yr.). While working as a Computer & Media Tech, Andy attained his Master of Divinity at Newman Theological College. Andy enjoys good, fresh coffee (he’s thinking about roasting his own beans!). He enjoys tinkering with computers, electronics, and other such geeky stuff and playing computer games. He’s quite fond of the Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter Series. He enjoys making (and drinking) beer and wine. He enjoys Scotch (Andy & Pat will get along famously!), rum and vodka martinis. Andy would live off hot dogs and mac & cheese if he had a chance although he loves to prepare and enjoy good food.

Jane KorvemakerJane Korvemaker
Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Jane joined our Pastoral Team in the summer of 2011 as Coordinator of Youth Ministry. She hails originally from BC but has had experiences from Edmonton (undergrad), San Clemente California (Director of Youth Ministry), and Ottawa (why not?). Jane holds a Certificate in Culinary Arts, a Bachelor in Theology from Newman Theological College, and has nearly completed her Canadian Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies.

Jane most enjoys working with teens in leadership and hanging out over coffee (though not bad coffee) and chatting with both youth and volunteers alike. She loves the Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter series', cooking great food, and dreaming of being back in the mountains. She and her husband Andy have one son, Spencer, who continually challenges her energy levels and provides great joy.
