As the One Body of Christ, Holy Family Parish strives to live authentically the Gospel of Jesus Christ: through reflection on the Word, nourished by the Sacraments, in solidarity with our Church Shepherds and upholding and honouring the dignity and integrity of all of God’s creation.

Liturgical Ministries

Liturgical Ministries are the foundation of who we are as a community of believers. Our worship takes place only because of the volunteer efforts of many people. Parishioners are invited to volunteer for the various liturgical ministries offered. Each fall ministry sign up lists are available in the Church for those wishing to become part of our worship celebrations. Ministries include:
Junior Acolytes (Altar Servers) - assist at the celebration of the Eucharist by carrying the cross and the candles and assisting at the altar and is a ministry for those aged Grade 3 through Grade 8.
Senior Acolytes - assist the priest at the altar and also serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion and is a ministry for those aged Grade 9 and up or for those with at least 3 years experience as a Junior Acolyte.
Lectors - Proclaim the Word of God at the Mass and is a ministry for people aged Grade 4 and up.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion - assist with the distribution of Holy Communion and is a ministry for those aged Grade 9 and up.
Ministers of Hospitality - welcome the people to the assembly space each week and also assist the Ushers in their ministry of the offering collection. It is a ministry for all ages, especially families.
Ushers - assist the community by helping to find seats, ensure doors are open, lights are on, etc and help with the offering collection. It is a ministry for those aged grade 9 and up.
